Bishop Diego boys golf’s standout season came to an end on Tuesday with a third-place showing at the CIF-SS Div. 5 team championship at Green River Golf Club in Corona.
The Cardinals shot a team score of 410 to place third out of 22 teams, with Chadwick earning the championship at 403.
Jack Eliassen was at the front of the pack for Bishop Diego, carding a 78 in the 18-hole event.
He was joined by fellow Cardinals Williams Scribner (81), Gabe Villa (81), Luke Eliassen (82) and Ben Zoltoski (88).
The Cardinals finished the season with an 11-2-1 record, including a perfect 6-0 in Tri-Valley League action. Tuesday marked Bishop Diego’s fifth consecutive trip to the CIF-SS Team Championships.
