
Noon Concerts invites community members to the Music in May concert, featuring pianist Alvise Pascucci in a program including works by Schubert, Liszt, Chopin and Grieg on May 29.
Noon Concerts are in residence at Trinity Episcopal Church, 1500 State St., Santa Barbara. The performance will begin at 12:15-12:45 p.m.; doors open at 11:45 a.m.
Suggested $10 tax-deductible donations are accepted at the door to support live music and musicians.
Pascucci has been hailed by music critics as “an outstanding young pianist who possesses a virtuoso technique as well as musicianship of the highest order.”
Pascucci is a decorated Italian pianist with a repertoire that spans Baroque to contemporary music. He is the winner of more than 60 national and international awards, including first prizes at the Los Angeles International Liszt Competition and the International Franz Liszt Center Online Piano Competition.
Pascucci holds a Performer Diploma from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, where he studied with Roberto Plano.
He recently completed his Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance at UC Santa Barbara, where he was awarded the Chancellor’s Fellowship and studied under Paul Berkowitz.
Pascucci currently serves as principal collaborative pianist for the Sing! program at the Music Academy of the West, and as music director at Christ Lutheran Church in Goleta.
