The Theatre Group at SBCC will open its 2026/27 season with the joyful musical “Anything Goes,” July 10-25 in the Garvin Theatre on SBCC’s West Campus.

The show is directed by Katie Laris, with musical direction by David Potter and choreography by Michele Spears.
 
“All aboard for one of the most beloved musicals of all time where a love-sick stowaway faces a host of obstacles on the race to romance,” The Theatre Group said.

“A crew of sailors, chorus girls, millionaires, a preacher in tap shoes and public enemy number 13 all pitch in to help him and prove that true love is just one dance step away,” they said

The show features classic Cole Porter songs such as “I Get A Kick Out Of You,” “Blow Gabriel Blow,” and “You’re The Top.”

It is based on the original book by P.G. Wodehouse and Guy Bolton and Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse; new book by Timothy Crouse & John Weidman. 
 
The “Anything Goes” cast features Kaitlyn Diffenderfer, Austin Escamilla, Fred Hunter, Sam Malone, Tamara Norton, Van Riker, Tiffany Story, Matt Talbott, Samuel Truax, Atalia Zahrndt, and an ensemble of 22 singers and dancers.

The production staff includes Laris who is co-chair, stage director and an associate professor of acting for The Theatre Arts Department at SBCC.

Performances will be July 8-25 in the Garvin Theatre on SBCC’s West Campus, 900 block of Cliff Drive.

Performance times are 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday; 2 p.m. Sunday with previews at 7:30 p.m. July 8-9.

The 2 p.m. performance on Sunday July 12 will be live-captioned for the hearing impaired.

Previews are $22 general/$19 seniors and SBCC staff/$10 students. Thursday evening and Sunday matinees are $32 general/$27; seniors and SBCC staff/$16 students.

Friday and Saturday evening shows are $34 general/$29 seniors and SBCC staff/$19 students.
