A trio of local girls lacrosse standouts added one more feather to their caps on Thursday before closing the chapter on their high school careers.

San Marcos’ Josephine Grossman, Dos Pueblos’ Linnea Clapinski and Cate’s Lauren Hubbs were named to the All CIF-SS Girls Lacrosse team for their impressive senior campaigns.

Grossman earned a spot on the All CIF-SS Div. 2 team after racking up 82 goals, 91 points, 97 draw controls and 21 ground balls.

She led her team to an undefeated Channel League season and was named the Channel League Offensive Player of the Year.

Meanwhile, Clapinski was one of the top goal scorers in the state of California and was rewarded as a member of the All CIF-SS Div. 3 team.

Clapinski poured in 103 goals and recorded 148 draw controls on her way to a Channel League Co-Most Valuable Player award, along with her All CIF-SS honor.

Hubbs rounded out the local All CIF-SS honorees by securing a spot on the Division 3 squad.

She had a stellar season on the defensive end of the field, earning herself the Channel League Defender of the Year award as well.
