The Dos Pueblos LL Junior All-Stars captured the Section 1 title in convincing fashion, rolling to a 15-0 win over Moorpark LL on Monday at Girsh Park.
DPLL will now compete in the SoCal State Tournament, with the first game coming on July 9th at Beebe Park in Mission Viejo.
Cash Phillips dominated on the mound for DPLL in the championship game, allowing just one hit and striking out three in the four-inning mercy rule win.
After a tight battle early, DPLL poured on eight runs in the third inning to pull away for good.
Oliver Palmer collected two hits, two stolen bases and two runs scored. Meanwhile, Phillips drove in three runs and Zane Pflanzer tallied two RBI of his own.
The DPLL Junior All-Stars are Andrew Wang, Caleb Fante, Cash Phillips, Jacob Stock, James Chou, Juan Meza, Lincoln Hwang, Luka Wilson, Matias Csordas, Oliver Palmer, Philip Lowe, and Zane Pflanzer.
