MOVE Santa Barbara County
Question: What is the name and date of your event?
Answer: The 15th annual Ride Santa Barbara 100 will take place on Saturday, October 17, 2026, beginning and ending at Chase Palm Park in Santa Barbara.
Q: What is the mission, goal, and/or theme of this occasion?
A: Ride Santa Barbara 100 brings cyclists together to experience the beauty and challenge of riding along California’s Central Coast while supporting MOVE Santa Barbara County.
MOVE works to create healthy, sustainable and equitable communities by promoting safe and accessible walking, bicycling and public transportation throughout Santa Barbara County. Through this event, we hope to raise funds and awareness for MOVE’s work while encouraging active transportation, community connection and a lifelong love of cycling.
Q: Have you held this event before?
A: Yes. Ride Santa Barbara 100 is celebrating its 15th anniversary in 2026. Over the years, it has grown into a premier destination cycling event that welcomes local riders as well as cycling enthusiasts from across the country and around the world.
Q: Tell us some more details about your celebration?
A: Ride Santa Barbara 100 offers four scenic and challenging route options designed for different experience levels: a 100-mile route, a 100K route featuring the Gibraltar Climb Challenge, a 100K Coastal Route and a 34-mile route.
Every route begins and ends at Chase Palm Park and showcases some of the region’s most recognizable scenery, including Santa Barbara’s coastline, Carpinteria, Montecito, the historic Old Mission Santa Barbara, Goleta, Hope Ranch and the iconic Gibraltar Road climb.
Participants receive a fully supported ride experience with aid stations, mechanical support and official event merchandise. After completing their route, riders can celebrate at the Finish Line Festival at Chase Palm Park, featuring food, a beer garden, vendors, awards and a charity presentation.
Q: How do people get involved with your event? (volunteer, attend, etc.) – If your event includes ticket sales, please note the price and include a link to purchase tickets.
A: Community members can participate by registering for one of the four ride distances, creating an individual fundraiser for MOVE Santa Barbara County, joining a fundraising team, volunteering or attending the Finish Line Festival to support the riders.
Registration and current pricing are available HERE.
Q: Is this a fundraising affair? If so, how will the funds raised help your organization?
A: Yes. Ride Santa Barbara 100 benefits MOVE Santa Barbara County and provides riders with opportunities to raise additional funds through individual and team fundraising pages.
Funds raised help MOVE advocate for safer and more equitable transportation infrastructure throughout Santa Barbara County. They also support programs such as youth and adult bicycle education, community bike shops, bicycle repair and maintenance resources, event bike parking and community advocacy for safer walking, biking and public transportation.
Q: Who is sponsoring your event, and why is their support important?
A: Ride Santa Barbara 100 is made possible through the support of community partners, local businesses, media partners and event sponsors, including Noozhawk.
Sponsor support helps us provide a safe, organized and fully supported experience for riders while increasing awareness of MOVE Santa Barbara County’s mission. These partnerships also help us reach new audiences, strengthen our connection to the local community and direct more attention and resources toward creating safer and more accessible transportation options throughout the county.
Additional 2026 event sponsors and partners will be recognized on the Ride Santa Barbara 100 website and throughout event communications.
