The city of Carpinteria invites residents and community members to the 2026 State of the City & Town Hall Event, 4:45-7:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 31 at the Veterans Memorial Building, 941 Walnut Ave.
Attendees will hear directly from city leaders and staff about the city’s budget, current and upcoming local projects, and Measure I, which will appear on the November ballot.
There will also be time to ask questions and share feedback with city representatives.
The event opens with an informal tabling session, giving residents a time to connect with councilmembers and city staff, learn more about city programs and projects, and ask questions.

Formal presentations start at 5:30 p.m. and will include:
- An overview of the city’s budget
- A presentation on Measure I
- A community question-and-answer session
Residents are encouraged to submit questions in advance to communityinput@carpinteriaca.gov.
Questions that cannot be addressed during the live Q&A will be answered and posted on the city’s website in the days following the event.
