SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The UC Santa Barbara Women’s Basketball team has released its full schedule for the 2026-27 season, featuring 16 home contests and 17 away. Renee Jimenez enters her third season with the Gauchos and looks to end the team’s final season in The Big West on a high note.
The Gauchos begin away, opening with an exhibition against the Stanford Cardinal in Palo Alto, Calif. on Oct. 28. They’ll return home on Nov. 3 to host Santa Cruz for their first official contest before heading back out to Pepperdine on Nov. 5.
The Gauchos will play four more at home before wrapping the month of November in the City of Roses with contests against Portland and Portland State on the 25 and 28.
Santa Barbara will begin December with just one at home, opening conference play against Cal State Bakersfield. They’ll then head up the coast for a Blue-Green rivalry matchup at Cal Poly on Dec. 5.
On the 13th, the Gauchos will play at Lee’s Family Forum against UNLV for the Jack Jones Classic. Their final away game in December will be against the University of Texas at El Paso on Dec. 19.
The Gauchos will begin the New Year at home, then head to Cal State Fullerton on Jan. 7 and Long Beach State on Jan. 9. After hosting Utah Valley and Sacramento State at home, the Gauchos will be away for the remainder of the month, beginning with CSUN on Jan. 21 and Cal State Bakersfield on Jan. 23. Finally, the Gauchos will head to UC San Diego on Jan. 28 and UC Irvine on Jan. 30.
February will begin in The Thunderdome with rematches against Long Beach State and Cal State Fullerton, then the Gauchos will head to Riverside to play UC Riverside on Feb. 11 and Cal Baptist on Feb. 13. UC Santa Barbara will host four more to finish February, then close the season in March at Sacramento State and Utah Valley on March 4 and 6.
