Cate girls tennis dominated the first day of the Tri-Valley League Individual Tournament on Tuesday in Carpinteria.
In singles action, Cate’s Elizabeth Jayich and Jade Wang each cruised through the quarterfinal and semifinal rounds to set up an all-Rams championship on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the Cate duo of Kiki Chang and Lisa Hasebe swept their two matches, dropping just one game along the way to earn a spot in the doubles championship. Chang and Hasebe will take on Villanova Prep’s top pairing for the title.
The Rams will host the Tri-Valley League finals on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. in Carpinteria.
