Santa Barbara High’s girls volleyball team will play at Glendora for a berth in the CIF-SS Division 4 final at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
It will be the Dons’ first road game of the playoffs. They are looking to make a divisional final for the second straight year; they were runners-up in Division 5 last season.
Santa Barbara (26-10) has swept its last two playoff opponents (Ayala, Hemet) after opening the playoffs with a four-set victory against Ontario Christian, the team that defeated them in the Division 5 final.
Glendora (18-12) is coming off a five-set quarterfinal win at Linfield Christian. It was their second five-set win of the playoffs.
Santa Barbara and Glendora have two common opponents in Ayala and Royal. The Dons swept Ayala in the second round of the playoffs and lost to Royal in five sets back in early September. Glendora swept Royal in the second round and split two Palomares League meetings with Ayala.
Saturday’s winner will advance to the championship against either Portola or Vista Murrieta on Nov. 5, 6 or 7. The site of the title match will be determined following the semifinals.
