San Marcos girls golf took eighth place at the CIF-SS Division 4 Tournament on Monday at Bear Valley Country Club in Victorville.
“I was also proud of how our whole team stayed committed to doing their best, despite playing a new course with a tricky setup and tough pin positions,” San Marcos head coach Sarah Ashton said.
“They are not only good teammates but also respectful to their opponents. Often we saw them helping opponents with pace of play, knowing the rules, or giving others encouragement.”
Mia Rocha capped off her high school career by taking sixth place individually with an 87, including six pars and a birdie on hole nine.
Simrin Singh also had a strong day and finished in 14th place individually with a score of 93.
Sierra Kaderali was the third San Marcos finisher at 110, and the Royals were rounded out by Cana Spieker, Chloe Bellamy and Hayden Anderson.
