Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo is now accepting applications for two bachelor’s degree programs that will be offered on Allan Hancock College’s Santa Maria campus starting in fall 2026.
Cal Poly will offer degrees in business administration and sociology, with classes taught in person by university faculty.
Students admitted to the programs will pay Cal Poly tuition, with financial aid and scholarship opportunities available through the university. Applications are being accepted through Dec. 1.
“This is a game-changer for students in our region who want to continue their education but face barriers to relocating,” Allan Hancock College Superintendent/President Kevin Walthers said when the program was announced in March. “President (Jeffrey) Armstrong and his team at Cal Poly are really stepping up for students and our local workforce.”
Allan Hancock College is also moving forward with a bachelor of science in nursing partnership with CSU Channel Islands.
Hancock spokesperson Chris McGuinness said the BSN pathway is a three-semester program with open, non-sequential entry, allowing eligible students to start in spring, summer or fall.
A new application window opens Dec. 1 and runs through March 31 for students seeking to start in summer 2026.
