Anacapa School’s Julia Minor took second place overall, leading the girls cross country team to the title at the Condor League Championships at Midland School in Los Olivos.
Anacapa’s pack of scoring runners finished in the top 10, giving the Island Foxes 19 points. Midland was second with 37.
Midland won the boys team title with 23 points and Anacapa was second with 55, edging Beasant Hill by one point.
Minor who ran the 3-mile course in 28:35, finished behind winner Ula Leavitt of Oak Grove (26:10) for the girls individual title. Anacapa’s other scoring runners placed fourth through seventh. They were Abby Pfarr, Sam Auchincloss, India Darling and Naomi Eckert.
Rabbit Barnes of Midland was the runaway boys champion, finishing in 15:50 on his home course. Teammate Fletcher Ruemer was second in 18:58. Jesse Fletcher (6), Noah Kim (8), Odin Grafton (9) and Jasper Bailey-Petravic (10) finished in the top 10 for the Oaks.
Anacapa’s Kieran Caves came in fifth place in 19:55 and Asher Holmes was seventh in 20:13. Joseph Mansbach (15), Gavin Strong (21) and Zeo Pereira (22) rounded out the scoring.
