A motorcyclist was critically injured late Tuesday night in a collision with a vehicle in Isla Vista, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
The crash occurred at about 11:20 p.m. on the 6800 block of Del Playa Drive, said fire Capt. Daniel Bertucelli.
The motorcycle struck the back of a passenger vehicle near the corner of Camino Corto, Bertucelli said, resulting in major injuries to the rider.
The motorcyclist was taken to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
Their name and details on their condition were not available.
The occupants of the passenger vehicle were not injured, Bertucelli said.
The crash remained under investigation.
