A single-vehicle rollover left one person with moderate injuries in the Gaviota area on Thursday afternoon.
At approximately 2:20 p.m., personnel from the Santa Barbara County Fire Department and California Highway Patrol were dispatched to the incident on Highway 101, 1.5 miles south of Highway 1, according to emergency dispatch reports.
A CalStar medical helicopter also was dispatched, but had to cancel the response due to weather at the scene.
CHP Officer Keith Rogers said the crash occurred after a spinout. The driver lost control and the truck overturned, Rogers said.
The driver, Jack Rivas, 70, of Santa Barbara was taken to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital via an American Medical Response ground ambulance,
At least one lane was closed in the area for a brief time, according to dispatch reports.
No further information was available.
Later Thursday afternoon, a five-car collision was reported on Highway 154 and Painted Cave Road. Several vehicles were spinning out, according to the CHP, and authorities called in traffic control units due to heavy fog in the area.
