A wind advisory has been issued until 6 a.m. Sunday for the southern section of Santa Barbara County.
Winds will be from the northwest to north at 20 to 30 mph with gusts between 35 and 50 mph, according to the National Weather Service.
As of Saturday evening, the National Weather Service reported wind gusts of 50 mph at Gaviota and 43 mph at Refugio.
Gusty winds could make driving difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles on Highways 101, 154 and 192 as well as the Gaviota and San Marco passes.
Windy conditions also could blow around unsecured objects, leading to fallen tree limbs and possible power outages, according to the advisory.
Additionally, abnormally high tides through Sunday morning could create hazards, including sneaker waves at local beaches, according to the NWS.
