The first youth football 805 Bowl has been set for Saturday, Dec. 18 at San Marcos High’s Warkentin Stadium.
The bowl game will feature all-star teams made up of eighth grade/14-under players from the Pacific Youth Football League and the Central Coast YFL. The leagues held their annual all-star games recently. The West team won the PYFL game and the South captured the CCYFL contest.
The West and South teams will clash in a tackle football game at noon on Saturday.
Teams representing the PYFL West include the Santa Barbara Sharks, Ventura Packers, El Rio Spartans, Oxnard Panthers and Moorpark Musketeers.
The players on the Central Coast YFL South team will be representing programs from Lompoc, Santa Ynez, Nipomo, Santa Maria, Orcutt and Guadalupe.
There is no admission charge, but spectators are encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy for donation to the Toys for Tots drive, which is being organized by the Santa Barbara Sharks Youth Football Club.
