Grammy Award winner Pikelny, a founding member of the bluegrass quintet Punch Brothers and a core force behind the new group Mighty Poplar, is widely recognized as a preeminent banjoist of his generation, Arts & Lectures said.

Winner of the first Steve Martin Banjo Prize and a two-time International Bluegrass Music Association Banjo Player of the Year, Pikelny’s artistry bridges tradition and innovation, and pushes the boundaries of acoustic music.

In 2019, Pikelny was awarded the Best Folk Album Grammy award for the Punch Brothers’ release “All Ashore.”

“Whether on stage or co-hosting ‘The Energy Curfew Music Hour’ podcast with Chris Thile, Pikelny captivates with humor, heart and technical mastery,” Arts & Lectures said.

Tickets to Noam Pikelny and Friends are $44-$59 for the general public, and $15 for UCSB students with current student ID.
