Dos Pueblos boys volleyball pulled off a road reverse sweep over Pacifica on Tuesday in Oxnard, 25-27, 22-25, 25-15, 25-21, 15-10.

The Charger outside hitting duo of Evan Daugherty and Ben Wojogbe were relentless throughout the night with 18 and 17 kills, respectively. Daugherty also added nine digs.

Keenan Bower and Kevin McGibben were instrumental in that offensive attack as well with 34 and 22 assists, respectively.

Dos Pueblos (7-2, 2-0 Channel League) remains undefeated on the league season ahead of its matchup against rival San Marcos. The Chargers host the Royals, who are also undefeated in league play, on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.

Carpinteria High 3, Hueneme 0

The Warriors earned their first Citrus Coast League win of the season with a sweep of Hueneme on Tuesday in Carpinteria.

Carpinteria dominated the opening set and never looked back en route to the win, 25-15, 25-21, 25-23.

“We started strong in the first set, and although the last two sets were much closer, they made for an exciting match as both teams battled point for point,” Carpinteria High head coach Favian Muralles said.

Cole Rowbottom contributed both offensively and defensively with eight kills and eight digs. Meanwhile, Jesus Reyes tallied 14 assists and eight digs, and Jesus Campuzano scooped up 14 digs of his own.

The Warriors (4-2, 1-1 CCL) will host Channel Islands for another league match on Thursday. 

Santa Barbara High 3, Ventura 1

The Dons defended their home court with a four-set win over Ventura, 25-18, 25-11, 22-25, 25-17.

“Ventura has improved a lot and I was pleased to see our focus on the court and we’re learning how to finish teams when we’re supposed to,” Santa Barbara High head coach Chad Arneson said. “It was definitely our best match offensively.”

Kristian Dybdahl (14 kills, 12 digs, 4 aces), Hayes Costner (15 kills, 10 digs, 6 aces) and Maddox Denver (40 assists, 10 digs, 2 blocks) all recorded double-doubles and filled up the stat sheet for the Dons.

Meanwhile, Jasper Bell recorded seven kills and nine digs, and Henry Becker chipped in six kills.

Santa Barbara High (4-3, 2-0 Channel League) will host Rio Mesa on Thursday.

San Marcos 3, Buena 0

The Royals cruised to a three-set sweep of the Bulldogs on Tuesday in Ventura, 25-6, 25-14, 25-17.

Owen Willer had an efficient night for the San Marcos offense, tallying 12 kills on 15 attempts. Meanwhile, Jamie Hetrick hammered down seven kills on nine attempts.

Tyler Walker also had a strong night for the Royals with strong setting and serving.

Laguna Blanca 3, Dunn 0

The Owls dominated their way to a three-set sweep of the Earwigs on Tuesday, 25-13, 25-9, 25-8.

“It was another good night to get our young guys some solid in-game reps,” Laguna Blanca coach Tanner Stevens said. “We continue to get better and improve as we play more and more matches.”

Michael Couvillion tallied seven kills, Luke Rice contributed five kills and EJ Niksto had a strong night at the service line for the Owls.

Providence 3, Del Sol 0

The Patriots earned a sweep of Del Sol on Tuesday, 25-15, 25-20, 25-22.

Ben Terry facilitated the Providence offense with 23 assists, as Sam Oliynyk, Chris Van Wyk, Cor Patterson and Ben Rupnow tallied six kills apiece.

“I was really proud of how the guys played today. We had a game plan and it worked out pretty well for us,” Providence head coach Dan Terry said. “We really drilled on it hard yesterday at practice and executed today.  After a couple of tough losses to start off the season, this was a good win for us against a good team. 

“It’s always great playing at Del Sol, beautiful facility and super friendly coaching staff and players.”

The Patriots will host Midland on Wednesday at 4 p.m.

Santa Ynez 3, Bishop Diego 2

The Cardinals dropped a non-league battle with the Pirates in five sets on Tuesday in Santa Ynez, 25-22, 21-25, 25-20, 23-25, 7-15.

“The Pirates packed quite the punch tonight and we made a few too many mistakes to give ourselves a chance to win,” Bishop Diego head coach Dillan Bennett said. “”As I told the guys tonight, I’d much rather lose tonight and learn about the areas we need to get better than have this be the last match of our season. 

“We have plenty of time to clean up some areas, and this match will, without a doubt, be a great reset for us as a team.”

Bishop Diego’s John Michael Flint and Damien Krautmann poured in 19 kills apiece, while Tyler Roberts had eight kills and four aces. Krautmann also put up five blocks at the net.

The Cardinals (6-1, 3-0 Tri-Valley League) will be on the road against Del Sol on Thursday.
