Tenth Annual City Nature Challenge Santa Barbara County April 25-28
You can help create a biological baseline for organisms in our county by identifying as many native organisms as you can using the free iNaturalist app on your smart phone. There is a video class on using iNaturalist. You do not have to identify every organism you see as experts will be checking the ids of your observations. Be sure to take a full shot of your observation and a close-up of the flowers or organism your photographing. The app will put your observations in the City Nature Challenge (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eu8glyrJ1TM) Santa Barbara County Project where you can see our results. We will be having a collection outing at the Rincon Bluffs from the east end of Carpinteria Avenue at 10am Sunday, April 27. All ages and experiences welcome.
