A car slammed into the Lindamar Studios building in downtown Carpinteria Wednesday afternoon, according to the Carpinteria-Summerland Fire Protection District.
The building, home to 888-892 Linden Ave., is a multi-tenant commercial structure with five spaces on the ground floor and six smaller spaces on the second floor, according to plans reviewed by the Carpinteria Architectural Review Board in 2024.
The car hit the side of the building that holds 890 Linden Ave. at about around 1:45 p.m.
The driver was able to exit the vehicle, and no injuries were reported.
The building was damaged, fire district spokesperson Grace Rampton said.
“Fire personnel secured the scene and ensured there were no additional hazards,” she added.
The crash was under investigation.
