Carpinteria High girls water polo finished with a strong 3-1 record at the Santa Barbara Friendlies Tournament this weekend in Ventura.
The Warriors began the weekend with a tight 10-9 win over Ventura High, led by a five-goal effort from Madison Lee and 10 total steals for the team.
Carpinteria then completed its doubleheader sweep on Friday with a 12-5 rout of Buena Park. Hazel Dugre, Lucia Smith and Holliday Smith each scored two goals in the win.
On Saturday, the Warriors were handed their lone loss of the tournament in a 10-9 defeat at the hands of Thousand Oaks. Carpinteria led 6-3 at halftime, but the Lancers battled back for the win.
However, the Warriors bounced back with a dominant win over Santa Paula to cap off the weekend. Gwen Postma anchored the Carpinteria defense with 13 saves.
The Warriors will open Citrus Coast League action against Channel Islands on Wednesday.
