Carpinteria High girls water polo cruised to an 18-2 lopsided win over Channel Islands on Wednesday at the Hueneme Aquatic Center.
The Warrior defense took center stage all day, holding Channel Islands to just one goal in each half, thanks in part to strong efforts from Gwen Postma and Klari Blackman.
Meanwhile, the Carpinteria High offense was evenly spread out as every player contributed to the victory.
The Warriors and Raiders will clash once again on Thursday at the Carpinteria Aquatics Center.
