Carpinteria High swim swept its Citrus Coast league dual meet with Nordhoff in convincing fashion on Wednesday.

The Warrior girls rolled to a 95-15 rout of their own, while the boys team dominated its way to a 119-32 win.

“Beyond the individual wins, Carpinteria’s strength came from its depth, with numerous swimmers contributing valuable points through second- and third-place finishes,” Carpinteria High head coach Jon Otsuki said.

“Strong relay swims and consistent efforts across all events allowed the Warriors to steadily build their commanding leads.”

Jake Ehlers led the Warrior racers with CIF-SS D3 consideration times and first-place finishes in the 100 freestyle (51.30) and 200 freestyle (1:54.61). Sky Korling also earned a pair of wins, taking first in the 50 freestyle and 100 fly (58.01).

The rest of the Carpinteria boys winners were Stefano Piccoletti (100 breaststroke), Chris Reed (200 IM) and Ryder Shaw (500 freestyle).

On the girls side, Izzy Scott shined in the sprints with first-place showings in the 50 and 100 freestyle races.

Meanwhile, Hazel Dugre (100 fly), Lucia Smith (100 backstroke), Klari Blackman (100 breaststroke) and Madison Lee (200 IM) all placed first in their respective events.

The Warrior boys and girls also swept all six relay events on the day.

“With the season still in its early stages, the sweep over Nordhoff highlights the growing confidence and momentum of the Carpinteria squad as they continue league competition,” Otsuki said.

The Warriors will compete in the Raider Relays on Friday at Hueneme High.
