Cate swim swept its meet with Nordhoff on Thursday in Carpinteria, with the boys team earning a 182-25 win and the girls team coming out on top 136-39.
Wil Rivera (200 IM, 500 freestyle) and Mo Kanda-Gleeson (100 butterfly, 100 breaststroke) led the way for the Rams’ boys as double individual event winners.
Meanwhile, Elliot Paige (50 freestyle), Jae Wykoff (100 freestyle) and Josiah Hansen (100 backstroke) rounded out the individual event winners.
In the relays, Oliver White, Liam Moes, Devon Liang and Hansen won the 200 medley. Tristan Maigret, Fletcher Prince, Wykoff and Paige won their 200 freestyle relay. Maddon Tanaka, Charlie Guo, Liang and Hansen capped off the boys performance with first place in the 400 freestyle relay.
As for the girls, Tori Kim (200 IM, 100 backstroke) and Emi Kanda-Gleeson (100 butterfly, 100 breaststroke) headlined the Rams with a pair of individual event victories.
Amber Lam and Makayla Niu also added individual victories in the 50 and 100 freestyle, respectively.
Adele Tan, Emi Kanda-Gleeson, Lam and Niu captured the 200 freestyle relay for Cate. Tan then partnered with Alena Ballat, Jen Won and Maddie Kollock to win the 400 freestyle. The 200 medley relay team of Sofia Wang, Emi Kanda-Gleeson, Kim and Niu crossed the fish line in first place as well.
The Rams will compete in the Tri-County Invitational at San Marcos next Thursday.
