Cate girls soccer punched its ticket to the CIF-SS Div. 7 Semifinals with a 5-1 quarterfinal win over Santa Rosa Academy on Wednesday.

The Rams will now be on the road to take on Azusa on Saturday at 2 p.m. with a trip to the CIF-SS D7 championship on the line.

Cate came out of the gate firing, with Harper Bishop scoring in the third and seventh minutes to race out to an early 2-0 lead.

The Rams continued to roll in the early stages as Fiona Pan and Precious Adjei scored in the 14 and 16th minutes, respectively, to double the advantage to 4-0. Pan’s goal was an Olimpico, scoring directly from a corner kick.

Bishop rounded out the Cate scoring and completed her hat trick with a goal in the 30th minute to expand the lead to 5-0.

The Rams maintained control of the match for the entirety of the second half, with Santa Rosa closing out the game with a goal in the final minute to bring it to the final score of 5-1.

On the defensive end, Mimi Power anchored Cate with six saves in the net.
