San Marcos girls water polo won its fifth straight Channel League title, Dos Pueblos reached the CIF-SS D1 Quarterfinals and Santa Barbara High finished as the CIF-SS D2 Runner-Up in a busy winter season in the pool.

The Royals, Chargers and Dons have always fielded impressive girls water polo talent, and this year was no different. With all three teams finding plenty of success, these local student-athletes garnered All-Channel League consideration.

San Marcos

The Royals turned in a historic season this winter, winning a fifth straight league championship, reaching the CIF-SS Open Division Semifinals and finishing as the SoCal State Regional Runners-Up.

Senior Charlotte Raisin was in the middle of the San Marcos success all season, capping off her illustrious high school career with the Channel League Most Valuable Player award.

Bethany King and Jade Pattison were critical to the team’s success as well, earning their spots on the All-Channel League First Team.

The trio of Shea Estabrook, Lily Bordofsky and Sophie Yonker also contributed on the offensive and defensive ends of the pool with All-League Second Team campaigns.

McKenna Stuart and Scarlet Akin rounded out the Royals’ All-League student-athletes with All-League Honorable Mention nods.

Dos Pueblos

The Chargers wrapped up the regular season in second place in the Channel League and reached the CIF-SS Division 1 Quarterfinals.

The duo of Reagan Mack and Talia Marshall played key roles for Dos Pueblos en route to the strong season, picking up All-League First Team selections.

Deveraux Wigo and Kyra Jones each made their impacts felt as well, and they were rewarded as members of the All-Channel League Second Team.

Meanwhile, Kiera McAvoy and Cierra Furneaux were awarded for their play as All-League Honorable Mentions.

Santa Barbara High

The Dons put together a 26-10 season that featured a second-place finish in the CIF-SS Division 2 playoffs and a third-place showing in the Channel League tournament.

Jules Horton continued her standout high school career for Santa Barbara High, representing the team on the All-Channel League First Team.

Rose Nelley also had a solid season for the Dons, playing her way onto the All-Channel League Second Team.

The pairing of Violette Bailey and Luna Morancey capped off the local honorees as All-Channel League Honorable Mentions.
