Dignity Health and Marian Regional Medical Center celebrated National Nurses Week on May 8 by honoring its dedicated nursing staffs from both Marian Regional Medical Center and Arroyo Grande Community Hospital with a ceremony in their honor.
More than 50 nurses attended the event at Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria and were lauded for their exceptional contributions to the healthcare industry and the Central Coast community.
The Nurses Week Ceremony paid tribute to the tireless efforts of the nursing staff. The event featured several speeches including one by Candice Monge, RN, Marian Regional Medical Centers’ chief nursing executive, who said, “Our nurses are the backbone of Marian Regional Medical Center and of our health care system, and we are honored to recognize their incredible contributions to our patients and our community.
“National Nurses Week is an opportunity to celebrate and show our appreciation for the hard work, dedication, and resilience of our nursing staff.”
The Nurses Week ceremony included live music, nursing testimonials, a blessing of nurses, and all the nurses stating the Florence Nightingale Nursing Pledge.
The nurses received special pins to commemorate their dedication to the community and patients of Dignity Health and Marian Regional Medical Center.
