The Dos Pueblos High School Wrestling program invites alumni, families, and community supporters to celebrate 55 years of DP Wrestling at a special Alumni Night on January 14, 2026, in Sovine Gym, during a home dual meet against Rio Mesa High School.

Founded in 1971 by legendary head coach Mike Hart, Dos Pueblos Wrestling has built a tradition rooted in commitment, perseverance, and community. Alumni Night will honor the coaches and wrestlers who built that legacy while celebrating the current Chargers carrying it forward.

Event Highlights

  • 5:00 PM – Dual Meet Kickoff (Boys Junior Varsity)
  • Approx. 5:30 PM – Alumni Recognition
    • 55-Year Anniversary Recognition
    • On-the-mat recognition of CIF Championship Teams: 1975, 1985, and 1989

Wall of Fame Induction Ceremony

Following the dual, alumni are invited back to the wrestling room for the Wall of Fame Induction Ceremony, honoring:

  • 2019 Girls Honorees
  • 2025 Inductees

This update adds 11 wrestlers to the wall and brings total recognition to approximately 186 wrestlers who have achieved League championships, CIF honors, Masters accolades, and State placements since 1973.

The Wall of Fame dedication each year ensures all wrestlers who have shaped the program’s history are properly recognized.

Alumni Taco Reception

Alumni are invited to an Alumni Taco Reception, generously hosted by DP Wrestling alumnus Mundo Diaz-Rios, owner of El Fogon Purepecha Catering. Attendees will also have the opportunity to tour the wrestling room and reconnect with past and present Chargers.

“For 55 years, Dos Pueblos Wrestling has been built on commitment, perseverance, and community,” DP head coach Matthew Bernard said. “On January 14th, we hope all alumni and fans join us as we recognize our CIF champions and the countless alumni who laid the foundation for this program.

“Their legacy lives on in every practice, every match, and every athlete who proudly wears DP across their chest.”
