
The Cancer Foundation of Santa Barbara has added Dr. Daniel Greenwald to its volunteer Board of Trustees.
The board focuses exclusively on fulfilling the foundation’s mission to ensure the availability of superior cancer care and patient support services for all residents of Santa Barbara County.
Dr. Greenwald is a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist who has been practicing in Santa Barbara since 2007.
Upon arriving in Santa Barbara, he joined a medical oncology group affiliated with the Cancer Center of Santa Barbara.
Dr. Greenwald specializes in treating all types of cancer, using molecular and genomic sequencing to personalize treatment plans. He has played a key role in bringing innovative cancer care to the community.
He serves as director of the Tumor Board and Oncology Education at Cottage Hospital, and collaborates with UC Santa Barbara’s research labs.
Since 2021, Dr. Greenwald has directed the UCLA Hematology Oncology site in Santa Barbara. He earned his medical degree and completed his residency and fellowship at Stanford University.
“We are excited about the valuable expertise and diverse perspective that Dr. Greenwald will contribute to our board,” said Lori Willis, executive director of the Cancer Foundation.
“His leadership and vision will further enhance our ability to support local cancer patients and their families for years to come,” she said.
