Santa Barbara County is blessed with a diversity of vital nonprofit organizations dedicated to improving the health, well-being, growth, civic leadership and compassion of our community.

Charitable giving and philanthropy are part of our identity, which is why Noozhawk is proud to support the nonprofit community through sponsoring local community organizations and events. 

To showcase our support of the event, Santa Barbara Rodeo Days, Noozhawk spoke with Ben Sprague, President of of Earl Warren Showgrounds to learn more about their event.

Question: What is the name and date of your event?

Answer: Santa Barbara Rodeo Days, August 1 – 3, 2025

Q: What is the mission, goal, and/or theme of this occasion?

A: Santa Barbara Rodeo Days celebrates the rich tradition and legacy of the Vaquero spirit, honoring the Western heritage that has shaped the Santa Barbara community.

Our goal is to bring people of all ages together for an unforgettable weekend of PRCA rodeo action, carnival fun, live entertainment, and a vibrant mercado.

We strive to create an exciting family-friendly event that invites the community to connect, celebrate, and experience the thrill of the rodeo along with a true taste of Santa Barbara’s heritage.

Q: Have you held this event before?

A: While Earl Warren Showgrounds has a long history of hosting rodeo, this year holds special significance as we take the reins in producing the event ourselves.

We are committed to expanding on this beloved tradition, enhancing the experience to make it more exciting and memorable than ever before, all while staying true to the spirit and legacy of the rodeo.

Q: Tell us some more details about your celebration?

A: Santa Barbara Rodeo Days will showcase three days of heart-pounding rodeo action, featuring bull riding, barrel racing, tie-down roping, steer wrestling, mutton bustin’ and more!

In addition to the three PRCA rodeo performances scheduled to take place, the Showgrounds will come alive with a Fiesta-themed Carnival, featuring thrilling rides, food, and entertainment, and line dancing, adding to the fun and excitement of the weekend.

Miss Rodeo California, Janae Wallace, will also make special appearances at all three rodeo performances! Whether you’re a longtime fan or new to the rodeo, Santa Barbara Rodeo Days invites locals and visitors to experience a weekend of festivities.

Q: How do people get involved with your event? (volunteer, attend, etc.) – If your event includes ticket sales, please note the price and include a link to purchase tickets.

A: Rodeo showtimes: Friday, August 1 & Saturday, August 2 at 7 PM, and Sunday, August 3 at 1 PM. Carnival times: Friday, August 1 & Saturday, August 2 from 2 PM to 11 PM, and Sunday, August 3 from 11 AM to 8 PM.

Ticket prices vary. Rodeo tickets and advance carnival ride tickets available on our website.
