Santa Maria’s Downtown Fridays event will kick off its 11th year, 5:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, March 27 with 25 food trucks, 70 vendors, a kids’ area, face painter, beer garden, and live music.
Admission and parking are free to the family-friendly event, which is at a new location this year, on a closed off portion of McClelland Street from the Public Library to Boone Street. The prior location of Town Center West is not available due to construction of the Heritage Walk Lofts.
Downtown Fridays is scheduled for a half-year of consecutive Fridays that runs until Sept. 25, weather permitting.
The event is a partnership among the city of Santa Maria and local event promoters Ed Carcarey and Sofia Lariz.
