Firefighters knocked down a fire that broke out Tuesday afternoon at a Goleta Valley home.

Santa Barbara County Fire Department crews responded to the 4700 block of Frazier Lane near Turnpike Road just after noon, and discovered smoke and flames coming from the single-family residence, fire Capt. Mike Gray said.

They quickly got the flames under control and extinguished them with an interior attack, he said.

One resident sustained minor injuries and was evaluated by American Medical Response ambulance crews on scene and then released, he added.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.

Frazier Lane was closed in the area as of 1 p.m. due to the firefighting response and investigation, Gray said.
