Community members are invited to attend an open house to learn about the design of the Olive Mill Roundabout Project, 3-5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, at 1298 Coast Village Road, adjacent to the proposed project site.

The city and county of Santa Barbara, in coordination with the Santa Barbara County Association of Governments and Caltrans, are in the concept design phase to replace the existing stop sign-controlled, six-legged intersection at Olive Mill Road with a roundabout.

The roundabout configuration is meant to eliminate right-of-way confusion and improve traffic flow and safety for all road users. The open house will provide information about the project’s geometric design and traffic flow, and comments on landscaping, signage, and lighting.
