The Royals shut down the Triton offense en route to a league win on Tuesday inside the Thunderhut.

“We did a really good job defensively tonight,” San Marcos head coach Devin Uyesaka said. “It wasn’t a perfect game defensively, but there were some great defensive stops that we were able to put together.

“The energy and effort were there. We made Pacifica work for everything. There are still things we need to work on, but we’re trending in the right direction.”

Izzy Schow led a balanced attack with 12 points, while Selena Valenica (11), Jada Ahmad (10) and Lily Ruvalcaba (9) all closley followed in the scoring column.
