Dos Pueblos girls lacrosse dominated from start to finish en route to a 13-1 rivalry win over Santa Barbara High on Tuesday at Scott O’Leary Stadium.
It was an all-around effort for the Chargers (4-6, 2-0 Channel League), who had eight different players score to defeat the Dons (3-3, 0-1 CL) and snap a five-game skid.
“The Chargers led from the beginning and were able to control the tempo of the game. The DP defense played effectively against the SB attack,” Dos Pueblos head coach Dan Feldhaus said.

Dos Pueblos raced out to a 4-0 lead after one quarter of play, but the Dons hung around in the second and kept it relatively close at 6-1 heading into halftime.
However, the Chargers rattled off four unanswered goals to open the second half and cruised to the win from there, outscoring their rivals 7-0 in the second half.
Linnea Clapinski scored five goals to pace the Dos Pueblos attack, while Hannah Dawes and Harper Carlson each scored twice. Elsa Terebessy, Sierra Rodriguez, Sophia Campuzano and Shelby Moccardini rounded out the scoring for the Chargers.
Defensively, Dos Pueblos goalkeeper Stella Lawler gobbled up six saves, including the 200th of her career.
San Marcos 17, Thacher 1
The Royals rolled to a rout of Thacher in their Channel League opener on a hot Tuesday in Ojai.
Victoria Aldana and Rylie Cook made their returns to the lineup for San Marcos and made immediate impacts, as Aldana scored three goals and dished out three assists while Cook scored twice.
“We were excited to get Vic and Rylie back from injuries and be 18 strong for this hot one,” San Marcos head coach Paul Ramsey said.
Meanwhile, Josephine Grossman led the Royals with five goals in a game where 11 different players found the back of the net for San Marcos.
On the defensive end of the field, Carly Grant saved eight of the nine Thacher shots on goal in the win.
“Our defense played tough, we didn’t really give Thacher many opportunities and Carly had a great game again,” Ramsey said.
San Marcos (6-3, 1-0 Channel League) will be on the road against Cate on Thursday.
