San Marcos girls lacrosse dominated both ends of the field en route to a 13-4 non-league win over Oak Park on the road on Tuesday.
The Royals raced out to a 5-0 lead in the opening quarter and led 8-1 by halftime, with six different players combining for the eight goals.
San Marcos continued to roll in the second half, pouring on eight more goals while holding Oak Park to just three more scores to run away with the 13-4 victory.
Lyle Dessouky scored four goals to lead the Royals’ offense, while Josephine Grossman scored three goals and dished out two assists. Angie Cruz scored twice, while Hayden Jones, Emma McCarthy and Noelle Medina all scored once.
San Marcos (5-3) will be on the road for its Channel League opener against Thacher next Tuesday.
Newbury Park 16, Dos Pueblos 4
The Chargers struggled to keep up with Newbury Park in a non-league loss on Tuesday at Scott O’Leary Stadium in Goleta.
Linnea Clapinski and Hannah Dawes accounted for all of the Dos Pueblos offense with two goals apiece.
The Chargers (3-5, 1-0 Channel League) will be on the road against Saugus on Friday.
