Dos Pueblos girls soccer got out to a fast start and never looked back en route to a 4-1 win over rival Santa Barbara High on Friday at Scott O’Leary Stadium.
The Chargers (11-3-3, 6-2-1 Channel League) remained in second place in the Channel League with the win, trailing only unbeaten Buena. The Dons remained winless in the league season with the result.
Dos Pueblos erupted for three goals in the first half and cruised to the crosstown rivalry win from there.
Alina Seidel and Brooklyn Hedricks each scored twice for the Chargers, while Seidel dished out a pair of assists in the victory.
Defensively, Sophie Rodriguez, Kacey Hurley, Ruby Streatfeild and Celeste Alcaraz led the way for Dos Pueblos.

San Marcos 2, Oxnard 0
The Royals shut out the Yellow Jackets for their second straight Channel League win on Thursday in Oxnard.
“The girls played their hearts out tonight and with so much fighting spirit that it allowed us to take advantage of our chances and deny Oxnard any clear chances on goal,” San Marcos head coach Miguel Vences.
The backline of Kimberly Arias, Lulu Aurell, Ella Valdez-Lindgren and Stephanie Carranza held it down for the Royals’ defense, while the midfield trio of Rio Chesluk, Meleeya Alaniz and Zeina Matni helped control the game.
San Marcos scored one goal in each half, with Aurell finding the back of the net on a 30-yard free kick in the first and Sofia Faroni finishing off an assist from Alaniz in the second half to secure the 2-0 win.
“The girls knew they deserved more the first time we played them and they were aware of some of the noise being made over some of our early results so they had that hunger to come out to get a result and quiet some of that noise and show that they can compete with any team in our league,” Vences said.
The Royals (4-7-2, 3-4-2) will look to keep the momentum when they host Pacifica on Tuesday.
Carpinteria High 3, Fillmore 2
Kaydance Gardner blasted a game-winning stoppage-time free-kick goal to give the Warriors a win over Fillmore on Friday.
With the game tied at 2-2 in the final seconds of stoppage time, Gardner lofted a shot from outside the 18-yard box over the defensive wall and past the goalkeeper for the win.
“It was a roller coaster of emotions today, but I was thrilled to see our team never give up and dig deep to get the result tonight,” Carpinteria High head coach Freddy Martinez said.
“There were great performances from everyone on the pit tonight, but ‘Kiki’ Kaydance had a tremendous match tonight.”
Fillmore struck first in the 15th minute and took a 1-0 lead into halftime. The Warriors bounced back when Gardner scored on a penalty kick in the 47th minute for the equalizer.
Carpinteria then took its first lead of the night in the 60th minute when Gardner lofted a corner kick to Vivian Huskins, who headed the ball into the net for the 2-1 advantage.
Fillmore evened the score once again 10 minutes later, setting up the stoppage-time heroics by Gardner.
The Warriors (9-1-2, 5-1-1 Citrus Coast) will host Malibu on Wednesday.
