The Goleta Valley Girls Softball Association Thunder 14U team captured the USA Softball 14U Central California B Association District Championship this weekend in Orcutt.
The championship is the team’s third of the 2025 All-Star season and earned them a qualifying berth into the Western National Championship later this summer in Bakersfield.
The Thunder won the tournament in dominating fashion, going 4-0 en route to the championship.
“Our hitters had great approaches all tournament and our pitchers did a phenomenal job pitching to our game plans,” Thunder head coach Eric Buben said. “We have work to do, but we are so excited to qualify for Western Nationals again this summer.”
The Goleta Thunder 14U All-Stars include Alina Gutierrez, Olivia Carleton, Reagan Cram, Alanah Salas, Sofia Jimenez, Arina Baltadano, Keke Flores, Sophia Munoz, Kaleah Mehta, Kylie Buben, Myranda Grande Meza, Mia Duenas and Autumn Johnson.
The team is coached by Vince Holian, Tracy Mehta, Dan Carleton and Eric Buben.
