Two Years Ryan
Two Years Ryan,
Two Years without you,
I miss You!
We all miss you so much!

The words are few and the tears so many. The void is extreme.

You brought endless light, laughter, love and learning to everyone you encountered, every day.

I miss your beautiful face, your sparkly green eyes, your smile and your words of wisdom. Your talents in life were so broad and so many.

I am left with pictures, memories and your bench overlooking the ocean, a plaque with your name, and 35 years of memories where I can only take walks, sit and remember You

Happy yellow flowers bloom and burst, teal waves crash and swell, and I see so many eager, young lovers-of-life racing out there to catch the waves, but it’s not you … it’s me, riding the waves of grief.

The time without you has been a fleeting two years, yet filled with sadness.

Little King Ryan, I knew you were extraordinary upon your birth.
Sometimes one’s life is so extraordinary it is too difficult to stay on this short journey of life on earth. You are called to a better place, the next place.

Your ashes flow and are one with the ocean in Northern California where you fished, you surfed and you played. They flow where you grew up in the sands of Goleta shores and at Jalama Beach.

I think of you every day Ryan!

One more thing Ryan, Nana passed away peacefully on Jan. 21, 2026, but you know that already.

Before Nana passed, she said she saw you and you said, “Hi Nana!” Come see me in my dreams and bring Nana along!

Love, Mom
