An investigation conducted after a body was discovered in Carpinteria Monday night determined that the death was a suicide, according to Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Raquel Zick.
No other details were released.
Emergency personnel responded at 6:15 p.m. Monday after the remains were found on the 4400 block of La Tierra Lane.
The area was closed off during the investigation.
