Joaquin Riker led a balanced attack with 18 points to pace Dos Pueblos to a 74-62 Channel League win over Lompoc at home Tuesday.
Kael Rillie and Grant Hughes added 15 apiece and Alex Perez 14.
Lompoc’s Dominic Ballesteros led all scorers with 24 points, and Elijah Perkins added 19.
“Tonight’s game was close throughout, but we were able to create a small lead and build on it as the game went on,” Charger coach Joe Zamora said.
“We were able to spread the ball around tonight and Kael was able to find Joaquin for some open looks,” Zamora added. “Alex Perez did a great job creating for others as well as hit open looks. Sophomore Grant Hughes came off the bench to add a spark on the offensive end and added a physical presence for us.
“Cole Collins really helped in the paint with rebounds and tough defensive plays against their bigs. Freshman call up Christian Perez was steady and allowed us to speed up the game on both ends.”
Dos Pueblos is now 1-1 in league play and 1-2 overall.
