Judith Cook McCaffrey has been elected president of the Rotary Club of Santa Barbara Sunrise for 2022/23, beginning her term July 1.
McCaffrey has been a member of the Rotary Club since 1995, and has served in a variety of leadership positions over the years including president in 1999/2000.
“Serving as president for the Rotary Club of Santa Barbara Sunrise is a true honor,” McCaffrey said. “I love my community, and being a member of Rotary has allowed me to join with other like-minded people to give back to our community and the world through a variety of service projects.”
McCaffrey is retired after 20 years with the Santa Barbara Parks and Recreation Department. Before that, she worked for the local Girl Scout organization, and for the Educational Foundation for Foreign Study. She volunteers for other local nonprofits including Old Spanish Days Fiesta, and the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.
Founded in 1985, the Rotary Club of Santa Barbara Sunrise is one of nine Rotary Cclubs from Goleta to Carpinteria and one of 64,000 clubs and 1.4 million Rotary members worldwide.
