The Junior League of Santa Barbara will initiate the EmpowerHER Scholarship, a program designed to invest in the next generation of women leaders while continuing the league’s mission of service, empowerment, and community impact.

The Junior League said it will award scholarships to three Santa Barbara County high school juniors and seniors who demonstrate leadership, a commitment to volunteerism, and a passion for creating positive change in their schools and local community.
“The EmpowerHER Scholarship recognizes and celebrates young women who are stepping into leadership and encourages them to continue using their voices, talents, and compassion to make a difference,” said Jessica Hawley, president of the Junior League of Santa Barbara.
“As an organization dedicated to developing women leaders, we are proud to invest in students who reflect the values of service, integrity and community that have guided our league for more than a century,” she said.
Applications will be accepted from Feb. 15 through April 15. Selected recipients will be honored at the Junior League of Santa Barbara’s Annual Dinner in May.
Applications and eligibility details are available at www.jlsantabarbara.org.
The Junior League of Santa Barbara is a volunteer-led women’s organization with a more than 100-year legacy of strengthening the community through leadership development, civic engagement, and strategic partnerships focused on addressing critical local needs.
