Karlene Goff, a beloved mother, grandmother and friend, passed away on Feb. 13, 2026, after a brief illness.

She was born in Warren, Ohio, and moved to Santa Barbara in the early 1970s. There, she raised her son, Richard, before settling in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley 18 years ago, where she built a vibrant and fulfilling life.

Karlene had a remarkable gift for forming meaningful connections and quickly became cherished by a wide circle of friends. She was often at the heart of many activities, from Mahjong and card games to bocce ball.

Known for her exceptional planning and organizational skills, Karlene coordinated weekly Mahjong gatherings at the Solvang Senior Center, organized various game events, and generously volunteered her time delivering meals for Meals on Wheels.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 4, at 1487 Aarhus Drive. All who knew and loved Karlene are warmly invited to join in honoring her life, sharing memories, laughter, and stories that reflect the joy she brought to others.
