The community, especially the kids, will get a chance to get up close and personal to a fleet of big vehicles — fire trucks, construction equipment, police cars, tractors — at the 10th annual SYV Touch-A-Truck event, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. May 2 at 611 Atterdag Road, Solvang.

Attendees can climb into the driver’s seat, honk the horn, and more all under the guidance of friendly professionals, said event organizer Bethania Preschool and After School Care.

The event will feature a range of family friendly activities including face-painting, Q the balloon man, bicycle helmet fittings, and raffle prizes.
 
Tickets for Touch-A-Truck are $7.50 each, or a family pack of five tickets for $25.

All proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Bethania Preschool and After School Care, helping support their mission providing quality education and care for children in the community.
