Laguna Blanca boys soccer pulled out a 4-3 victory in a seesaw battle with Santa Clara on Tuesday.
Santa Clara opened the scoring with a goal in the seventh minute, but the Owls answered two minutes later when Baylor Wilson converted a shot from inside the box for the equalizer.
Wilson secured a brace in the 20th minute by drawing a penalty and knocking down the penalty shot. Seven minutes later, Inak Phillips doubled the Laguna Blanca lead to 3-1 with a goal on a shot from the top of the box.
Just before halftime, Santa Clara drew a penalty in the box and scored the penalty shot to make it a 3-2 game at halftime.
Santa Clara had a golden opportunity to even the score early in the second half on a penalty shot, but Laguna Blanca goalkeeper Enzo Vinoly stepped up and made a diving save to keep the lead.
Vinoly made several more saves throughout the second half, but Santa Clara finally broke through with a late goal to bring the score to 3-3.
The Owls then went on the offensive, and it paid off as Josh Gomez found Isaac Duron, who slipped his shot past the Santa Clara goalkeeper to give his team the victory.
