Laguna Blanca boys tennis dominated from start to finish in a 17-1 rout of Channel Islands on Wednesday in Santa Barbara.

The Owls went a perfect 9-for-9 in doubles matchups and stayed hot with eight victories in singles play.

“The full (doubles) team showed quick movement at the net and finished strong on poaching opportunities throughout the day,” Laguna Blanca head coach Mark Polowczak said. “Strong serving and excellent stamina carried the (singles) team through all three rounds.”

Freshmen Jeff Briikshire and Ryland Murphy made their Owl debuts in singles and doubles action, respectively.

Laguna Blanca will be on the road against Dunn on Tuesday at 3 p.m.
