In recognition of International Bat Appreciation Day on April 17, local nonprofit NatureTrack is hosting a screening of “The Invisible Mammal: A Fight Against Extinction” at the Santa Ynez Valley Grange Hall in Los Olivos.

The film is free to attend. Doors open at 6 p.m., screening starts at 6:30 p.m.

The documentary follows an all-women team of scientists working on the front lines to save North American bats, exploring the ripple effects on ecosystems, agriculture, and even human health.

Filmmaker Kristin Tieche will be in attendance for a live Q&A.
