Lights Up! theater company’s Spring Conservatory for Show Tunes & Stage Moves, a class designed to help young actors to feel more comfortable singing, dancing, and doing both at once, will run April 13-May 20.

“From dancing in the background and singing in the ensemble to playing a lead, every note and move matters,” organizers said. “We will practice holding down harmonies in a group and standing out in a solo. This class will build the stamina and confidence to bring all these key skills together.”

The class meets 4:30-6 p.m. every Monday and Wednesday at the Black Box Theater, 2300 Garden St., Santa Barbara.

It is open to actors in grades six to eight. Lights Up! membership is not required. Tuition is $600 per student.
